1000 kg thrust turbofan engine completed the first flight test in China

The reporter learned from the 31 institutes of the China Aerospace Science and Industry Research Institute that, in recent days, the 1,000 kilogram-powered turbofan engine independently developed by the Institute was carried on a certain type of aircraft. After a half-hour flight, it landed smoothly and successfully completed the first show of the blue sky.

It is reported that this is China's first 1,000-kilogram push-level turbofan engine "flying on" the blue sky, which fills the gap in China's turbofan engine technology.

As a professional aerospace power technology research institute in China, 31 power product applications have covered the entire field of land, sea and air. At the beginning of this century, the company captured the power demand of high-end unmanned aerial vehicles and small business jets in China and took the lead in launching the development of a 1,000-kilogram-powered long-life turbofan engine for military and civilian use. The institute integrates domestic superior resources and has established 28 highly-reconciled rapid response teams that are designed, manufactured, assembled, and tested to overcome a large number of problems in design, materials, processes, and test technologies. It has passed hundreds of hours of parts and complete machines. The test completed the pre-flight pre-determined test and the airspace high-altitude station performance test, and finally achieved the first flight of the engine.

According to reports, this type of engine is aimed at the international same-level advanced engine technology indicators, with long life, high ceiling, low fuel consumption, low infrared characteristics. The success of the first flight test marked a milestone in its development and became an important milestone in the development of the turbofan engine in China.
