3. Weld inspection
By scanning the surface of the weld with a high-speed and high-precision laser vision sensor, a 3D image of the weld surface can be obtained. The geometric parameters of the weld formation such as weld width, residual height, weld toe angle, etc. can be measured by a certain algorithm. Defects such as undercuts, welds, and surface vents are detected, as shown in Figures 6 and 7. The ARC-SCAN and LAS-SCAN sensing systems are used for the inspection of welds or seals such as arc welding and laser welding, respectively, in line with the requirements of 6σ quality control.
4. Dual sensing technology
In the weld inspection, in addition to the geometric parameters related to weld formation such as weld width, residual height, undercut, etc., it is also necessary to detect surface defects such as fine pores on the weld. A laser vision sensor with dual sensing technology projects a laser stripe on the weld and two sensors acquire the ranging image. As shown in Figure 8, one of the sensors has a larger field of view for detecting weld forming parameters, and the other sensor has a smaller field of view but a higher resolution, concentrated on the weld surface for testing welds. Possible small pores on it.
Figure 9 is a photograph of the automatic detection of the laser brazing seam of the car body using the PX-10/25 laser vision sensor with dual sensing technology.
