In the fall of 2012, Evonik Industries Group successfully completed its capacity expansion in the lysine plant in North America. The announcement of doubling production capacity was published on the Blair website of Nebraska in the United States. The expansion project completed in two phases has reached 280,000 tons. Dr. Reiner Beste, head of Evonik's business unit, said that thanks to Evonik's globally advanced biotechnology and brand recognition, the project was expanded to produce more efficient and almost full capacity. Evonik's partner Cargill provides its infrastructure and raw materials supply.
