2. Apply a good seedling fertilizer. Quickly apply the quick-acting nitrogen fertilizer before cutting the seedlings to protect the roots and promote the buds, laying the foundation for the high yield of the reclaimed rice. The application rate of seedling fertilizer (urea) is 10-15 kg/ha, and the principle of early cutting (within 5 days after water withdrawal), multiple application of thin field, late cutting (after 5 days of water withdrawal), and less application of fertilizer field are grasped.

3. Cut the seedlings in time and keep the rice piles low. It is advisable to cut the seedlings after 3-5 days of flooding. When cutting seedlings, the rice pile should be kept low, and the pile should be kept about 20 cm (5-6 inches), which is conducive to the high yield of the regenerated rice.

4. Straw returning to the field. After cutting the seedlings, the whole field straw is evenly spread between the hybrid rice plants, which can increase the organic fertilizer through straw and return to the field, and win valuable time for self-rescue after the flood.

5. Water management. After the seedlings are harvested, the paddy fields maintain a shallow water layer or a moist state of about 3 cm to promote the recovery and growth of the first season rice roots. If the temperature is high during the flowering period, the paddy field should be filled with deep water to establish a deep water layer of 20 cm.
