Mexico develops "green" energy-saving plastic processing method

A start-up company from Mexico has developed a brand-new plastic recycling method that can only consume half of the energy of the past traditional methods to realize the recycling of plastics, and does not need to use large amounts of water. And after processing, better quality plastic particles can be obtained, the process is more environmentally friendly and the cost is significantly reduced. At present, the company is trying to improve the processing capacity of its prototype recovery system, and try to use biochemical detergent instead of lye to make its system more "green."

According to Marco Adame, CEO of the start-up company, the traditional plastic recycling technology process is time-consuming and labor-intensive, has great demand for water and energy, is prone to waste, and is not friendly to the environment. In comparison, the company's technology requires only half of the conventional energy, and it does not require water participation at all. It can turn plastics into pellets of various shapes according to their needs. According to Adame, this method can recycle most of the plastic products, about 90%. At the same time, the process is very environmentally friendly and the space required is greatly reduced.
