Orthogonal test and parameter optimization of cutting force in diamond grinding wheel

Abstract In this paper, the orthogonal cutting test of brazed diamond grinding Tools is used to systematically analyze the effects of cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut and horizontal cutting force Fh and vertical cutting force Fv. The optimum process parameters for grinding Brazilian black granite are obtained by range analysis and trend plots. Analysis of variance shows that the feed rate and depth of cut have a significant effect on cutting force than cutting speed. The regression equation of cutting force was established by regression analysis. Compared with the experimental data, the regression equation established was similar to the experimental data.
