According to the price channel data, taking the 20,000 to 30,000-ton ship provided by Qinhuangdao Tongying Shipping Co., Ltd. as an example, the coal freight rates from Qinhuangdao Port to Shanghai, Zhangjiagang and Guangzhou are 36 yuan/ton and 40 yuan/ton respectively. 63 yuan / ton, compared with the price of the previous week, raised 45 yuan / ton, in addition, other types of coal shipping cost of shipping is still showing an upward trend.

According to statistics compiled by the Shanghai Shipping Exchange, as of September 1, the coastal (bulk cargo) freight index closed at 1225.92 points, up 5% from last week, of which the coal freight index closed at 13560.69 points, compared with last week. The relevant shipping companies stated that the increase in coal shipping costs this week was mainly due to the combined impact of the tropical storms “Shizishan”, “Compass” and “Nanchuan”, which caused great difficulty in the transportation of coal in southern and southeastern China.
