In 1673, because natural crystals were expensive and the quality was difficult to guarantee, the imitation of natural crystals and the idea of ​​using excellent glass as crystal lighting began to sprout. The world's first artificial crystal lighting was created in 1673 by French-born Italian Bernardo Perotto. This light is still in existence in the museum.

In 1687, Emperor Louis XIV of France imported a batch of crystal lamps made of natural crystal/quartz from Italy.

The Palace of Versailles is installed in the Palace of Vatican. Since this matter is clearly recorded in the inventory record, everyone often uses this palace as the source of the crystal lamp.

In 1699, Louis XIV decided in the same year to grant a patent to Mr. M. Bertin to produce die-cast glass instead of natural quartz as a pendant for crystal lamps.

The crystal pendants and accessories of the 1800 crystal lamp were born in Italy and France due to demand. But in the seventeenth to eighteenth centuries, Bohemia dominated the market of crystal lighting pendant accessories with its low price, high quality and high yield.

As a result, crystal lamps have become popular.
