Furniture materials worry about quality problems mostly from upstream materials

On February 9, the first comprehensive research report of China's furniture materials industry, "Blue Book of China's Furniture Materials Development", was released at the 2012 meeting of the Guangdong Furniture Association. Zhu Changling, chairman of the China Furniture Association, Wang Ke, chairman of the Guangdong Furniture Association, and other provincial and municipal associations and leaders of relevant associations and governments such as the Guangdong Economic and Information Commission attended the press conference.

Zhu Changling introduced that China's furniture industrialization has been growing at an average annual rate of 20% for more than 20 years. Last year, furniture enterprises above designated size achieved a total industrial output value of 519.564 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 25.28%. At present, China has become the world's largest furniture manufacturing and exporting country, and the furniture manufacturing industry has also become China's third largest manufacturing industry after relays and food. However, the furniture industry also has a lot of quality problems such as excessive formaldehyde, heavy metal, deformed foam, volatile harmful gases, and harmful substances.

According to incomplete statistics, more than 80% of these quality problems come from upstream materials. As the front end of the furniture industry, the furniture material industry is still in the "four nos" state of "unclear situation, unclear market, irregular management, and disorderly development", which is far from the developed countries in the world.
