Lianyungang port copper concentrate source country increased to 30

A few days ago, a "king of the Atlantic" wheel carrying copper concentrate from Saudi Arabia slowly berthed 8 berths along the Lianyungang port. The batch of imported copper concentrate was about 7,510,880 tons, which was the first time Saudi Arabian copper concentrate was imported on the Lianyungang port. By the deadline, the number of copper concentrate source countries (regions) in Lianyungang has increased to 30, and the import channels have become increasingly diversified.

According to statistics, copper concentrates imported from Lianyungang Port are mainly concentrated in Chile, Canada, Mexico, Peru and other countries in the Americas, among which the imports of copper concentrates from the Americas account for about 70% of the total import volume of Lianyungang. In order to avoid the excessive dependence of copper concentrate imports on the above-mentioned countries in the Americas, in recent years, domestic enterprises have been accelerating the pace of mineral exploration abroad and have actively opened up new channels for the import of copper concentrates. Take Lianyungang Port as an example: In 2010, the copper concentrates entering Lianyungang Port came from 14 countries and regions. In 2011, the number of copper concentrates surged to 22, and by 2012 it had grown to 25, and gradually spread from the Americas to Asia (Philippines, Malaysia). In Africa (South Africa, Mozambique) and Australia, Oceania and other countries and regions, the diversification of import channels is evident.
